OrderSync EDI in ChatGPT

Paste an EDI file into ChatGPT and ask about it the way you would ask a colleague. Check it, read it, explain a rejection, decode a remittance or draft the reply.

In ChatGPT, open Apps and search for OrderSync EDI.

Ask It What You Would Ask Your EDI Person

Attach or paste the document, then ask. Each of these also has a free tool on this site that does the same job in your browser.

What It Does

Check a file

X12, EDIFACT or TRADACOMS, including one pasted from an email. Envelopes, counts, control numbers, ASN hierarchy, invoice totals and GS1 check digits, with the segment and the fix for every error.

Read it in plain English

Any transaction explained line by line, or turned into a readable PDF purchase order, invoice or packing list.

Explain a rejection

997, 999, TA1, 824 and CONTRL decoded and traced back to the exact problem in the original file.

Follow the money

820 and REMADV remittances broken into invoices paid and deductions, with reason codes decoded and a dispute drafted on request.

Answer a purchase order

997, 855, 856 and 810 drafts built from the PO. Drafts come back to you to review and send yourself.

Compare the paperwork

A PO against its change, acknowledgment, ship notice and invoice, with the money at stake on each difference.

Barcodes and labels

GS1 numbers checked in bulk, case GTIN-14s, SSCC numbers and GS1-128 carton and pallet labels as PDF.

Trading partner checks

EU VAT, UK and EU EORI and Peppol status, UK late payment interest, and what 34 US and UK retailers and networks require from suppliers.

Where Your File Goes

In ChatGPT, the document goes to ChatGPT and from there to OrderSync's server, which runs the check and sends back the result. We process it in memory, discard it when the request ends, and keep no copy, log of its contents or training data. ChatGPT handles your conversation under OpenAI's own policy.

In your browser, the free EDI tools on this site keep the file on your machine. The EDI Inspector, Translator and the other EDI tools parse it locally, so use those when a file has to stay in house.

Every result in ChatGPT links to the matching web tool with your document loaded, so you can switch at any point. Full details are in the privacy policy.

Doing this every week?

Automate the whole flow

OrderSync takes orders from email, PDF, spreadsheets, portals and EDI, checks every line against your catalog and prices, and posts them into your ERP. Acknowledgments, ship notices and invoices go back out on their own.

Get EDI compliant with a retailer

A retailer wants EDI and your orders arrive by email or a portal today. OrderSync connects to their network, turns whatever comes in into compliant EDI, and sends the 855, 856 and 810 they require.
